Modus Workspace designs a ‘retail-inspired’ office for Bazaarvoice

The technology company’s location on Oxford Street served as inspiration, as did the client’s desire to provide a healthy hub for workers.

Modus Workspace has announced its completion of Bazaarvoice’s new HQ in the heart of Europe’s busiest shopping district. Now a cutting-edge workplace, Modus Workspace’s design approach artfully infuses the essence of Oxford Street with the needs of the technology company’s employees and clients.

“Our design not only reflects the iconic location but also caters to Bazaarvoice’s unique needs and values, enhancing their working environment,” says Georgina Dallas, senior designer at Modus Workspace, “We are proud to have played a pivotal role in this project.”

Floor-to-ceiling glass windows flood the workspace with natural light, offering impressive views of the city. The design incorporates retail-inspired details, creating a comfortable and familiar atmosphere for employees and clients alike. Suspended shelving decorated with biophilia maximises space and adds a refreshing touch of nature to the workspace, promoting employee wellbeing.

With privacy paramount for the client, acoustic panelling was applied to the walls and ceiling of the meeting suite to ensure total confidentiality, complemented by glass manifestations to incorporate Bazaarvoice’s brand identity. Other subtle brand references can be seen throughout the space, such as the distinctive curved shape of the teapoint bar to mirrors aspects of the Bazaarvoice logo.

Sustainability was a core requirement throughout the workspace interior. Modus Workspace collaborated with its sister company, Platfform, to introduce high-quality, durable furniture crafted from recycled plastics and sustainable materials.
