Four Seasons at The Pearl-Qatar puts a luxury twist on home-from-home hospitality

Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl Qatar has opened its doors to guests, with eclectic, modern-meets-traditional interiors courtesy of Wimberly Interiors. The hotel’s design concept has been inspired by the flora and fauna of Doha and the surrounding Qatari landscape, with a particular draw from sea creatures and the corals of the gulf.

On arrival, guests enter a grand lobby featuring hand-woven wool rugs, bespoke Italian-made furniture and artwork and sculptures made in collaboration with renowned Qatari contemporary artist, Shouq Al-Mana. More European-inspired flair is found in the Italian restaurant, Spuntino, which spills onto sprawling terraces and pools and a secluded beach, featuring walls delicately rippled in a soft green polished plaster finish, giving the effect of sculpted curtains lining the walls. An entire floor has also been dedicated to leisure and wellbeing, with a state-of-the-art spa embellished with intricately patterned marble mosaic walls, plunge pools and a sleek lap pool that sits under a softly lit, coffered ceiling.

Upstairs, the four-bed penthouse suites are all unique and bespoke, taking notes from the Qatari desert in bespoke gold and amber hand-blown chandeliers, velvet sofas and marble bathrooms – flowing through to private terraces with plunge pools and al fresco dining.

Key to the hotel’s offering is a rental program which aims to meet the needs of guests who may want to stay for a longer term. The guest suites and apartments have been carefully laid out and designed to ensure these guests can authentically make themselves at home – including fully-equipped kitchens, laundry and sufficient storage space. The colour palette is elegant and neutral, with modern furniture, timber parquet floors and the turquoise blues and sand-tones of the 360-degree views of the Arabian Peninsula reflected in the soft furnishings.
