Mark Bell Adobe

As part of our ongoing Meet the Judges series, we introduce the industry leaders and sector experts deciding this year’s Mixology Awards winners.

Bell has an impressive CV with 20 years’ experience working at some of the world’s leading media and technology companies such as BBC, Facebook and most recently Adobe, where he is Director of International Business Operations covering UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Japan and Asia Pacific. Before moving into business operations, Bell built up extensive experience in corporate real estate and is passionate about architecture and workplace design – in particular how the built environment can integrate with technology to improve both the employee experience and business performance.

This year we asked each of our judges what exceptional design means to them:

“A space that can lend itsself to the changing needs and moods of its habitants is what makes for a great design experience in my opinion,” Bell told us. “If we consider a workspace today, it still needs the traditional elements in addition to collaboration areas.

But it also needs to cater for informal socialising. If you can factor serendipitous watercooler moments into the natural flow of the day and strike the right balance between work and play, it allows a great workplace culture to thrive.”

The deadline for Mixology22 is fast approaching! Entries are open until this Friday 4 March.
