Can designing for comfort improve productivity in the workplace?
British flooring manufacturer Amtico asks the questions as part of The Young Designer Series, in association with Mix Interiors’ 30 Under 30.
How can design be used to influence new ways of working in offices and improve employee wellbeing? Is the psychology of colour driving workplace design? These are just some of the questions flooring manufacturer Amtico seeks to answer as part of its Young Designer Series.
During the Mix 30 Under 30 celebrations, Amtico caught up with Class of 2021’s Fern Thompson, Senior Interior Designer at Jolie Studio, to discover her thoughts on creating comfort in the workplace to improve productivity, tackling the open-plan vs partition set-up in post-pandemic office designs, as well as incorporating soft tones throughout flooring, upholstery and lighting to improve mental health and wellbeing.
Watch the video to find out more from Fern and her insights into workplace interiors post-pandemic.
