Hosted by Jon Khoo, Interface’s Regional Sustainability Manager, each episode features an in-depth, informative conversation with a range of leading figures from the worlds of design, sustainability and the built environment.

In the first episode Jon is joined by Oliver Heath, expert in sustainable architecture and interior design, to explore the balance between sustainability and wellbeing as the world recovers from the coronavirus pandemic.

‘There is no disputing the fact that climate considerations should be central to the decision-making process of designers and specifiers,’ Jon comments. ‘We’re delighted Oliver is joining us to kick start this series. He’s the expert when it comes to biophilic design and our connection with nature. But he also has a wealth of experience on sustainability and eco-design. The world has completely changed in the last few months, and more than ever we need to put the wellbeing of people at the centre of design decisions. But how do we do this without compromising on sustainability? Are both issues interdependent? We want this podcast series to inform and entertain our audience, and to help them design with the climate in mind.”

Other guests in the series include eco innovator and author Mark Shayler and climate scientist Ella Gilbert.

Designing with Climate in Mind is being released fortnightly with the first episode available now and the second available from Monday 20th. It is available on all major podcast providers, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Deezer, and listeners can find all available episodes and associated content by visiting the Interface blog.
