Table systems with customisable accessories already populate the market, but none boast the versatility to adapt to any work surface. The aim of this new product development was to design a central channel with electrification that can be placed on any surface. Modular accessories empower users to shape their surroundings, fostering personalised environments that ignite productivity. ‘Laines’ takes its inspiration from the lively Brighton Laines, where it has been designed by Jones and Partners studio. Just as the iconic Brighton area combines beauty and functionality, ‘Laines’ provides a versatile canvas for users to customise their ideal table with imaginative add-ons.
At the heart of the product is a central zig-zag channel, serving as a hub for USB C connectors, providing both power and the ability to share users’ device screens on external presentation monitors. This channel acts as the foundational structure for seamlessly incorporating various accessories. Among these additions are a lamp, stationary storage, extendable mains power, and acoustic screens.
