Designed by David Chipperfield and brought to life by Wästberg, w241 Faro is a welcoming beacon, its gentle, low-sweeping glow emphasized by its formal integrity and balanced proportions. It is also a technically superior hybrid lamp, pairing qualitative light with smooth, compact portability. Thanks to a carefully designed recharging solution – with no compromise on aesthetics, function, or performance – w241 Faro moves fluidly between various settings, from a dining table to an outdoor terrace.
The top disc is an integrated dimming wheel and switch, alongside a high-performance interchangeable battery pack, IP54 rating and a colour palette that originates from the small harbour of Corrubedo in Spain – home to David Chipperfield’s Bar do Porto. The w241 Faro is crafted from die-cast aluminum, and comes in five painted colour coatings. One which being tumbled raw aluminium finish, with no added coatings or protective treatments. This allows for resource-efficient production, easier recycling, and a graceful ageing process.
