TTSP – Diespeker Wharf, London

Mixology23 Project of the Year: Workplace Interiors 5-15k sq ft

Project Team

  • 8Build, Conisbee, Mala, Corinthian Ceramics, Loughton , Hicks Joinery, Phleshey Forge Ltd, Elite Furniture, Workstories, Dead Good Ltd, Bestuhl UK Ltd, Tarkett, Strata|Parkside Tiles, Forbo, Diespeker, Milliken, Howdens, Hunter Douglas, Formline, Formation Lighting, Dulux, Clerkenwell Rug Studio , TASK Systems

The refurbishment of Diespeker Warf is the result of the vision of two architectural practices and a true declaration of love to the building from its occupiers, who have invested in its long-term conservation history and re-use, turning it into a beautiful hub of design, collaboration and creativity.

Industrial features have been used throughout to complement the existing building and enhance key features. Such features include the raw monolithic structural foundations which impose on large areas of the lower ground floor. Bespoke joinery has been carefully curated to juxtapose these asymmetrical foundations to celebrate and not hide their uniqueness.

Dark moodiness floods this floor bringing London’s outwards aesthetic in. Dark green tiles catch glimpses of light within the bar island, waterfalled with terrazzo, sitting underneath an understated black ceiling encasing acoustic rafts (Hunter Douglas) creating crisp linework for linear LED lighting to be featured. These naturally become an unconscious wayfinding element drawing the user in towards the social focal point.
