The interior fit-out for Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, in Eighty Strand an iconic 1930’s art deco building on the North Bank of the River Thames. tp bennett’s brief was to create a workplace focused on collaboration, which pushes innovation and support’s Pearson digital first approach.
Pearson embraced the notion that the future of the workplace needs to be highly adaptable and flexible; where colleagues can come together to collaborate and achieve their best work. After extensive consultation across the business, a single floor solution was adopted. This represented an 80% reduction in Pearson’s London office real estate. The floor provides over 700 workspaces, but with less than 80 of those being sit-stand desks, collaboration is at the heart of this flexible, furniture lead solution. By placing technology to the fore 80 Strand supports Pearson’s ‘Digital First’ approach, making this a workspace for the future.
