An eighteen-month period of collaboration and teamwork between Patricia Urquiola and the DESSO design teams resulted in a collection that is backed by years of material innovation, industry leading sustainability credentials and eye-catching, timeless design. Taking inspiration from the grid-like structures of woven textiles like tweed and boucle, Urquiola successfully provided designers with the possibility to experiment with colour, depth and grid-like formations with the added touch of soft texture.
DESSO & Urquiola boasts 100% recyclability in Tarkett’s own carpet recycling centre and an impressively low Circular Carbon Footprint of 1.03kg CO2/m2. Tarkett is the only manufacturer to have a closed-loop recycling system in place, which has gone a long way in helping them to achieve this low circular carbon footprint.
