The playful yet thoughtful approach to reusing discarded carpet tiles for the new DESSO & RENS carpet tile collection takes on Tarkett’s philosophy that no flooring should go to waste.
Working in collaboration with designers from Studio RENS, a new imaginative approach was taken to bring a hand-made process to the market, by giving old carpet tiles a new lease of life.
Created with sustainability in mind, the DESSO & RENS collection comes as standard with the 100% recyclable Tarkett EcoBase backing, which contains on average 80% recycled chalk from the local water drinking industry and comes as standard with polyamide 6 (PA6) yarn which is also 100% recyclable. The yarn polyamide 6 is also 100% recyclable nylon yarn, as is the collection itself, made at Tarkett’s facility in Waalwijk, the Netherlands.
