Located in York city centre, this boutique bar sets the tone for fun and fantasy. The space focuses on impact and form and is sculpted with colour and curves creating a space of joy, freedom, and a little indulgence. With intricate detailing, a focus on lighting and bespoke shapely joinery, the space is a bold expression of a fun loving personality, draped in a little bit of nostalgic disco for future enjoyment. The concept is tailored to both daytime and nighttime trade, meaning the bar adds cultural value and economic significance to the sector outside traditional business hours, offering a place for leisure activities and maximising employment opportunities. The space is designed to create a laid back and hospitable atmosphere through varied seating styles and intimate lighting, creating a space for social connections.

Material choices such as recycled flooring were a must when designing the scheme. Refurbishing an existing site, we ensured better energy efficiency by updating mechanical installations, replacing all lighting for energy efficient LED and retaining structural elements where required to minimise waste. Local contractors were also instructed to carry out the works to minimise the overall environmental impact of the construction and delivery.
