“Text provided by Sheppard Robson

At the intersection of science, engineering and business, the TTP campus includes three buildings that have been moulded to the ethos of TTP Group and its passion for invention. Set within the rural landscape of Melbourn, Cambridgeshire, the new campus for TTP has been shaped around the company’s values of non-hierarchical, through collaborative working by Sheppard Robson and its interior design group, ID:SR. The design evolved into a series of buildings, with each element optimised to address a specific part of the brief, while designed with agility in mind.

This approach resulted in three primary buildings embedded within their setting: the Exchange (a social place to decompress, relax, and debate), the Hive (a flexible modular mix of workplaces and labs), and the Tech Barn (a space for highly specific science and large-scale projects). This modular approach continued with the meeting pods across the workplace, which are self-contained with their own power and lighting. As they stop short of the ceiling, the pods can be moved or added to with a minimum of disruption. Within lab modules, services and lighting are incorporated on service ladders suspended from the ceiling. Services drop onto the wheeled lab benches utilising plug-and-play cabling, allowing complete layout flexibility and quick changeovers within the labs. The enclosed labs offer containment for more onerous projects. “
