SCENE’s design for No1 King St. was inspired by the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California, which has the largest concentration of high-tech companies in the United States. The area – home to Silicon Valley – is synonymous with innovation, disruption, fast-growth and entrepreneurship: the perfect inspiration for ambitious Manchester business leaders. Meanwhile, the Californian design aesthetic – with its colour palette of burnt oranges and sunset reds, natural textures, earthy tones and eclectic styling – creates an exciting and vibrant backdrop for the office space.

The scheme majors on cabernet reds and honey oranges with contrasting pale woods and dove grey concretes. Feature 3D wall-coverings add further depth and character, while prominent planting displays promote health and well-being throughout. Attention to detail was extended to the selection of furniture and accessories, with ergonomic seating and adjustable workstations providing comfort and support for employees. Every element was thoughtfully chosen to enhance functionality and usability, resulting in a workspace that is as practical as it is beautiful.
