Ryder Architecture and Ward Robinson Design – Bupa, Hong Kong

Winner

Mixology North22 Project of the Year Finalist: 30k-70k sq ft

Project Team

  • S&Techs, Link Real Estate, Investment Trust and Nan Fung Group, NV5 Ltd

Designed by Ryder Architecture’s specialist interiors team Ward Robinson Design, this project brings together three different businesses under one roof and used natural, sustainable, and green materials to create a ‘biophilic’ design look and feel that aligns with the company’s brand and values – creating a softer approach than typical Hong Kong workplace environments.

Following prolonged periods of working from home, Bupa International sought to bring together their workforce. In response to this, the design concept of “Tea | 茶” was introduced. As a cultural and social link between China and the UK, the team at Bupa were inspired by the symbolic nature of tea – welcoming, comforting, and healing. Represented through the warm and natural colour palette, textures, graphics and biophilic design, employees coming together over a cup of tea to collaborate, or forge new relationships is what this project  is all about.
