ōH Concept lifestyle pop-up is a curated retail store and experience space dedicated to fostering a community of design lovers, coffee drinkers and conscious shoppers. Faced with the challenge of designing a temporary and flexible space, MONIKA Studio based its concept on the principle of designing for disassembly and placed importance on the idea of reusing and upcycling materials. As the space was previously fitted out as a hairdresser salon, items such as hairdressers’ mirrors, glazed screen dividers or footrails have been repurposed to create installation pieces to redefine the use of the space. An iroko wood table is the focal point of the store, which has been constructed out of shredded old doors remaining from the previous project.
