Metro is a free-flowing and reconfigurable modular seating system, designed to bring a more natural aesthetic into public spaces to improve wellbeing. Metro’s seamless form utilises both curved and straight modules with a range of accessories, including tables, power and planters – allowing bespoke layouts to be created. This can improve passenger flow and reduce congestion, in turn creating more usable spaces.
Although designed for short sit public areas, Metro is focused on comfort. Wider slats ensure better support, and the thickness has been optimised to ensure it is strong but flexible. Its low backrest can function as a perch bench from the rear. Modules are customisable and can be reconfigured later as slats are interchangeable; a seat slat can be swapped with a table-arm.
The visible fixings are a design feature that sit at the front and follows the curvature of Metro, this allows easy installation and maintenance.
