Oktra – Facepunch Studios, Birmingham

Independent game developers Facepunch Studios wanted to relocate to a more accessible location and opted to move into 103 Colmore Row, a prime office building in central Birmingham. The business wanted to create a statement office that would form a hub for all its staff, as well as enabling them to host members of the public who can visit the space to explore their memorabilia and merchandise. Designed to be an all-encompassing ‘destination office’, Oktra informed the decision to include a VR facility, wellbeing retreat area, a barbershop, a client bar and an arcade room to narrow the gap between ‘life’ and ‘work’.
