Oktra’s design for Double Eleven’s Middlesbrough HQ was inspired by the Eye of Horus present in the company’s logo, reflecting the duality of “Sun” and “Moon” spaces to cater to the diverse needs of the team. The front “Sun” areas, bright and lively, foster creativity and social interaction, while the back “Moon” spaces offer calm, reflective environments for focused work. Across both distinct areas flexibility was key to the functionality, with adaptable work zones and confidential spaces designed for the gaming company’s rapid growth. The ground floor blends work, social interaction and hospitality with features like a market hall, coffee bar and classroom space, while the campus-style design continues upstairs, with a bar, roof terrace and auditorium.
