OE Electrics – QikPAC Carry

Mixology22 Product of the Year Finalist: Technology and Accessories

QikPAC Carry challenges the way we use space. With portable power that can be free to carry and integrate into furniture, the user is free to work and play wherever they want.

QikPAC Carry liberates the interior design process without the need for fixed power outlets, furniture can be placed anywhere and moved again and again.

Although every part of the design serves a purpose, the design is not entirely utilitarian. Just as the features that may appear to be purely aesthetic communicate to the user that the product can be picked up in a certain way, the sweeping ridge along the body tells the user it’s safe to grip the product here without fear of it slipping. The handle that mirrors the end of the product made of soft rubber, tells the user how it can be picked up and carried. The highlighted USB C informs the user there is power and the small rubber feet which follow the rest of the form tells the user that it can sit vertically or horizontally on the surface.
