NoChintz – Leonardo Hotel Manchester Piccadilly

Mixology North22 Project of the Year Finalist: Hotel Interiors

Project Team

  • Bowmer + Kirkland, Capital + Centric, Engie

Leonardo Hotel Manchester Piccadilly is the first new-build hotel to launch from the group. As part of the regeneration of the Piccadilly East area of Manchester by developers Capital & Centric, the 13-storey award winning building opened its doors this year to welcome guests.

The 275-room hotel with a bar, restaurant, lounge, gym and wellness suite has a holistic design approach, flowing the language of the external architecture, with its Jenga blocks and high-rise landscaping, through the interior spaces. NoChintz was appointed to conceptualise the interiors and deliver a new brand standard for Leonardo Hotels with this benchmark project.

Blending the studios’ experience across its brand and interiors portfolio, a strong narrative follows you through the building. Bespoke artwork, curtains, carpets, panelling, furniture, and signage follow the architectural precedent with studies on extruded forms, shadows, binary patterns and organic juxtapositions.
