The Edge Free collection is a foam free seating platform for the modern workspace. Created from a host of simple elements, build your perfect set up using seats, ottomans, tables and screens. Ideal for an agile work environment, Edge Free offers seating for every scale of space from large collaboration seating to intimate focus zones. Edge Free offers a low impact seating system for a low carbon future. Edge Free is Modus’ first foam free seating system. The embodied carbon is over 50% lower than if it were made using the typical PU foam and polyester wrap (over 50% of the embodied impacts in the materials lie in the foam alone). The frame has been dematerialised by using spruce ply, more rapidly renewable that birch ply and approximately 30% lighter to transport and machine. At end of life the coconut fibre and needled wool are biodegradable.
