JTI’s relocation of its UK headquarters from Weybridge to London’s Putney marks a transformative shift in workspace dynamics. Motivated by evolving work practices and a desire for enhanced flexibility, the 24,000 sq ft space fosters a dynamic, community-centric environment across four floors and a roof terrace. Maris’ innovative design choices and forward-thinking strategies, mean that the project for JTI not only meets the changing demands of the workforce, but also sets a new standard for adaptive and community-centric office environments in the post-pandemic era.

Embracing hybrid working, each team enjoys personalised pods within an open-plan layout, equipped with hot desks, meeting rooms, and collaboration spaces. The ground floor features a central bar hub, promoting spontaneous interactions and innovation. With a focus on multifunctionality and workplace well-being, the design incorporates sustainable elements, including a rooftop terrace and herb gardens, while maintaining an industrial-chic aesthetic reflective of the company’s ethos. This holistic approach cultivates a harmonious blend of productivity, comfort, and inclusivity, embodying JTI’s commitment to continuous improvement and creating a vibrant workplace community.
