Atomeca is a partnership from Schofield’s Bar International award-winning bartending brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield with wine expert James Brandwood.
Located at the Deansgate Square in Manchester, Atomeca is an all-day European drinkery, championing the best beverages and food from the UK and continental Europe with tea, coffee and locally baked pastries in the morning, followed by tapas-style plates in the evening, alongside an extensive wine list and the Schofield’s famous carefully curated cocktails.
The brief was to evoke a feeling of a continental cafe during the day and an intimate wine bar at night. The venetian blinds, dark colour palette and low lighting were all key to achieving this. The large panels of layered mirror and reeded glass behind the bar reflect the daylight and change appearance as the evening arrives. The sharing table at the heart of space was the conceptual starting point and was made locally from Foresso.
