KKA Interiors – The Aspen, Leicester

Comprising 250 bedrooms over six storeys, the Aspen in Leicester is the first part of a new tranche of student residences being delivered by innovative global investment company CA Ventures. The site’s interiors reflect the brands aspiration to provide wellness facilities which create communities of healthier, happier students. KKAI have devised a new living concept which focuses on the user and delivers a community-based approach to student living. The Aspen is one of many UK sites that explore themes with a bespoke narrative subject to location. Larger gathering spaces are typified by nooks, and spaces to dwell characterised by bespoke feature joinery that allows the residents to have intimacy whilst being part of a shared environment. The result is a warm, welcoming environment with a distinct identity, which incorporates a relationship between the courtyard and shared spaces – presenting the opportunity to integrate the outside with the inside.
