Hilton Garden Inn’s unusual location at the Silverstone circuit is home to the British Grand Prix, and KKAI was briefed to create a unique hotel experience to imbue guests with the spirit of the site.
The building concept, derived by KKAI’s architects, responded to the site, context and unique viewing opportunities over the Hamilton straight and the starting grid. This is evocative both of machine and racing heritage, but also the high technology industry emerging around Silverstone itself.
Embracing this, the interior design celebrates movement and industry in material, colour and texture, juxtaposing curvilinear detailed ceiling planes and soft furnishings with hard edge metal, and metallic tones that reflect engineering and sport.
