Lucy Wong is based on colonial Hong Kong and the owner’s memories of growing up there.
The interior design brief derives from the fictional character Lucy Wong, who keeps her heritage alive in her lavish central London apartment, with cocktails & food informed by traditional Cantonese cuisine.
KAI Interiors were tasked to design a main bar area with separate dining and lounge spaces, along with an outdoor courtyard that narrates the story of Lucy Wong. By restoring and repurposing the vast majority of decorative elements within the space, KAI Interiors gave the site a new lease of life. The use of natural materials like grass cloth have been used as a canvas for custom artwork and specified fabrics were carefully selected from trusted suppliers who promote sustainability.
