K2 Space’s redesign of its New York office was undertaken to support Criteo’s fully flexible working model. The design saw four floors consolidated into a single 20,000 sq ft floorplate, creating a workplace 35% of its original size, encouraging collaboration amongst employees. The project coincided with Criteo’s re-brand, allowing the practice to integrate the new corporate identity into the design. Referencing the new brand identity, key areas such as the cafeteria and reception reflect the shapes and colours of the logo, immediately immersing visitors in Criteo’s vibrant culture. Alongside economic and social benefits, environmental factors were also considered in the design of the new space. LED’s replaced fluorescent bulbs, and a heavy procurement of 2nd-hand furniture and local joinery significantly reduced carbon emissions.
