Inspired by five decades of innovation, Past Forward fuses retro colours and intricate patterns with today’s technology to create a carpet tile collection of nostalgic designs that perform to the demanding standards of today’s commercial spaces. The collection’s 14 versatile styles draw from the revival of 60s and 70s furniture design and popular ‘resimercial’ and maximalism trends. These include ornate rococo and renaissance visuals, retro patterns with scribbles and boxes, vintage-inspired patchwork styles, and traditional Turkish motifs.
But it’s not just about looks. Engineered with cutting-edge technology, Past Forward is made from 100% recycled content nylon and comes with Interface’s CQuest™Bio backing as standard, which contains carbon negative recycled and bio-based materials that store rather than release carbon. This allows designers to reduce the environmental impact of their projects without sacrificing aesthetics or performance, while supporting clients with their own sustainability ambitions.
