ID:SR are working with BT to deliver The Better Workplace Programme, which is consolidating BT Group’s UK footprint from more than 300 locations to around 30. The programme supports BT’s vision and values across multiple business lines, creating a workspace experience that is inspiring and connected, encouraging a community-led approach to creativity and innovative thinking. The concept creates connections between the brand, customers and individuals, enhancing how the BT team communicates with one another and their ever-changing audience.

BT Assembly, which occupies a 13-storey waterfront development close to Bristol Temple Meads Station, is home to 2,000 BT colleagues. The design reinforces the core ideas of the Better Workplace Programme, creating a workspace experience that embraces hybrid working and offers a wide range of work settings within community-led spaces that are inspiring, connected and encourage innovative thinking. ID:SR consulted with BT’s “Able2” network, which promotes accessible design principles, to create inclusive spaces – both in terms of physical access and neurodiversity. They developed wayfinding clarity and sensory considerations, quiet spaces for focus work, and vibrant social zones for collaboration – empowering neurodiverse teams to thrive while attracting top talent.
