IA Interior Architects’ mission has always been to improve people’s lives through visionary design. Since 1999, the London studio of this global firm has translated client goals, brands, and culture into environments built around people, processes, technologies, and business drivers. As architects, designers, strategists, and environmental specialists, IA aligns business strategies and core values with a human-centric emphasis on the dynamic use of space. The team’s clients in 2022 included a diversity of industries from large financial institutions to consumer-facing product manufacturers, social media giants, global e-commerce leaders, and 5-star hotels.
Throughout the past 12 months, IA’s London studio extended their business performance through innovative collaboration functions for clients and extended reality environments using IAXR. In addition, the London studio helped expand and formalize business partnerships, such as the IA Space Matrix partnership, a platform that extends IA’s reach and expertise to clients in Asia Pacific, as well as a partnership with Brightworks Sustainability, a consulting firm focused on achieving carbon neutrality for projects. The London team also contributed to outsourcing simpler, less repetitive project documentation for its dedicated team in India, positively impacting the company’s communication.
During London Design Festival last autumn, the IA team collaborated with FYOOG, an IA company specializing in integrated design. An event and accompanying installation, The Art of Sculpting Space: Hanging by A Thread, was hosted at the newly designed and optimized LEED-certified studio, Harella House (which earned a BREEAM Excellent rating). The temporary installation not only paid homage to the Clerkenwell area, where the studio is located, but also the renovated Harella House itself – an active stage for creativity, artisanship, and beauty for almost 100 years.
