Stride.VC, a venture capital firm dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs at the earliest stages of their journey, wanted to create their very first workplace. It needed to prioritise comfort, style, and wellness, combining residential warmth with high end hotel-like amenities. HOP worked with lead designer Haley McLane and Stride.VC to create a calming, yet bold, human-centric design. Combining the craftmanship and minimalism of Japandi interiors with the rawness of modern industrialism, dark and dramatic features perfectly complement a neutral backdrop of natural materials and a gentle colour palette.

Being Stride. VC’s first office space, longevity and impact were high on the agenda to ensure the investment was worthwhile. HOP incorporated a timeless, neutral palette with high-end furniture and open layouts to link the various environments together, creating a spacious workplace ready for future growth and to accommodate all working styles. The ground floor features a beautiful collaboration and social hub, with the upper floors housing desk and meeting spaces. This layout allows their team to choose their preferred environment throughout the day for any activity, and to perfectly balance work and leisure. From bespoke joinery to durable materials throughout, everything has a hidden use and has been selected to create a stylish and sustainable environment. The result is a space that is completely unique: raw, dramatic, yet impeccably chic.
