Roku’s new workplace in Cambridge represented an exciting new phase in Roku’s global business. It is a building which not only looks awesome and on brand, but it supports all of its occupants in their day-to-day work. Roku believes “we are better together”. Spacious working environment, cutting edge technology laboratories, sound chambers, clients welcome space and a great new social hub and sky terrace are just some on the spaces and design that truly embody who and what Roku in the UK do.

HLW’s concept for the design was ‘The Idea Lab’, creating a functional and charismatic new Roku home, which encourages connectivity, collaboration and ideas.

The Idea’s Lab has been brought to life using a layered approach. The colour palette combines Roku’s global design standards and the Idea Lab. Exposed ceilings and feature grid lighting connects to the base build lighting in the atrium. Timber, concrete, stainless steel and perforated mesh; together with Roku’s secondary colour palette is represented through loose furniture and upholstery.
