Designed by HLW, Julius Baer’s new office location reflects the company’s ambition to attract young entrepreneurs and employees. Whilst offering an opportunity to engage in the local community and a focus on an elevated client experience, the aim was to provide a best-in-class environment for visitors and staff alike. Sustainability and wellness were at the forefront of the new Julius Baer initiatives, and the project overall targeted a BREEAM Very Good rating. The interior fit out was designed to work seamlessly with the base build’s unique characteristics, while also reflecting high quality craftmanship in the social and collaborative areas that punctuate all floors.

The concept for Julius Baer was heavily influenced and inspired by the firm’s Swiss identity, and its focus on delivering a precise and well-executed service. The concept was built around ‘a place for people’, providing ‘precision service with human experience’ and offering a variety of quality spaces that are tailored to different work styles. Collaboration and serendipitous interactions had to be central to the building’s design to enable streamlined decision making, discouraging siloed working, and growing Julius Baer’s community culture.
