Mix Awards 24: Design Practice of the Year – Over 50 Employees

Over the past 12 months, Gensler has implemented several innovative initiatives to enhance its business and contribute to the broader goals of sustainable design, adaptive urban planning, and reduced carbon emissions. These initiatives align with the firm’s core beliefs in the transformative power of design, inclusivity, and the importance of responsible design.

Gensler Resource Centre in London: In collaboration with Materials Council, Gensler revamped its Materials Library in London by digitalising the entire collection of 30,000 samples. This initiative aimed to empower designers with a streamlined process for material selection.

Office to Residential (O2R) Algorithm: Recognising the evolving needs of urban spaces and addressing the housing crisis, Gensler developed a groundbreaking algorithm to assess the viability of converting empty office spaces into residential units.
