A meeting room chair, a dining chair, and a visual element: BUD was created to provide modern environments with a chair that stands out from the traditional, a fun and youthful chair for playful concepts wherever people meet. BUD is developed by the young design duo Petter Skogstad and Fredrik Værnes (Skogstad & Wærnes), who, after only three years of collaboration, have already garnered awards for their work. The result is an elegant and playful chair with a sleek design. However, unconventional aesthetics do not compromise comfort; BUD captures you exactly where it should.
BUD is available in four different humancentric bases: BUD ROTATE: Flexible and functional. BUD rotate has four legs and a swivel base with autoreturn. BUD STACK: A stackable variant with four legs. BUD UNITE: With the ability to smoothly roll over various floor surfaces, BUD MEET: A stable cross base with glides. The design of the BUD chair was focused on the younger generation’s workplace culture. Surveys have shown that younger workers value low hierarchy, equality, and inclusion. The designers worked on creating a shape that facilitates interaction and playfulness while ensuring that the need for movement during meetings is not compromised.
