Text provided by EPR Architects

EPR was commissioned by St William as architect and interior designer on their world-class residents’ facilities, which form part of King’s Road Park – a 17.35-acre regeneration scheme in Fulham. The residential masterplan blends contemporary architecture with refurbished buildings and botanical interiors. The brief, therefore, was to create an exceptional amenity space that reflected and remained sympathetic to the architectural language and history of the site. The final design takes inspiration from Neo-Victorian styling, emphasising a pastoral language through natural light, exposed structures and an honest material palette. Eclectic and relaxed furnishings in natural, warm hues and materials were specified to enable flexible working, socialising and relaxing under one roof. Paired with hotel-style leisure amenities and lush landscaping, the design concept creates a distinctive and inspirational place to live.

At the heart of the facilities is a generous residents’ lounge equipped with a bar for entertaining friends and family and flexible seating options to meet with business colleagues or simply take a few moments to relax. An open-plan atrium garden in the middle of the lounge acts as a central focal point and interlaces the various facilities together. In addition, resident wellbeing is encouraged by the provision of sustainable transportation, including high-quality changing rooms and locker facilities as well as 683 cycle spaces.
