MCM had a wonderfully defined brief: circularity and sustainability. Being a B-Corp company, it was crucial for them that every aspect of the design and build of their office had a purpose. This project masterfully merges environmental consciousness with a design that prioritises wellbeing. By employing strategic spatial layouts, selecting eco-friendly materials, and ensuring a responsible supply chain, MCM has created not just a workspace but a living testament to their historic company and B-Corp values. This initiative promotes a wellbeing-centric space for daily operations, showcasing a seamless blend of ecological stewardship and user-focussed design.

Tackling the integration of new design elements with existing infrastructure posed a significant functional challenge. EC1 Build skilfully navigated this by modifying and repurposing on-site lighting and ventilation systems, ensuring seamless operation within the new office layout. The comprehensive CAT-B fit-out encompassed upgrades to electrical, audio-visual, and lighting systems, as well as plumbing and ventilation modifications, culminating in a fully functional, adaptable workspace designed to support the firm’s operational needs effectively.
