Tucked away behind Buckingham Palace is a four-storey, four-bedroom house on secluded Grosvenor Crescent Mews, moments from Hyde Park Corner and St James’s Park. The original Victorian building interior has been meticulously remodelled and augmented to be a masterclass in contemporary, light-filled London living. The home is characterised by uncompromising craftsmanship, with a new focal point, a central skylight filtering natural daylight through all four storeys via glass walls and floors. Renovating the property for Sethia London, Design With Narrative has drawn on the area’s rich history to blend heritage features with contemporary, sophisticated luxury. A palette of neutral shades, light and dark woods, soft bronzes and reeded glass is joined by pops of colour through striking artwork.

The reworked floor plans take in a series of flowing, flexible living spaces, including two receptions, a media room and a decadent soaring-ceilinged light-filled lower ground entertaining area with cocktail bar and separate snug. Oak floors and beautiful bespoke joinery made by local craft people feature strongly within spaces. Loose furniture and soft furnishings were also sourced from reputable carpet brands who support community and environmental projects.
