Parador 44 is a luxury boutique hotel bringing a slice of Spanish style to the Welsh capital. Nine light and airy white bedrooms with luxurious ensuites have been carved out of the old building by Design Management Partnership, each with their own individual styles. Exposed stonework, repurposed timber floorboards and carved headboards are juxtaposed against a contemporary minimalist palette and Spanish-influenced tiles adding a touch of Mediterranean elegance.

A unique resident’s lounge with an honesty bar opens out onto a Andalusian-style terraza with a wooden boardwalk and comfy casual seating set amongst an abundance of pots with planting creating a relaxed and tranquil oasis within the heart of the city. Key to the parador spirit is using the character of the original building; DMP have used a mix of the old and new – and Spanish and the Welsh – to create timeless elegance.
