Claremont transformed Yorkshire Building Society’s Bradford HQ, Yorkshire Drive, into a “Destination Office” that reflects its heritage, values and workforce needs. After conducting in-depth workplace consultancy, Claremont designed a space that supports agile working and collaboration, with a primary focus being on inclusivity. The refurbishment focused on two wings, creating multi-functional training spaces and a social heart for relaxation and team building activities. Inspired by the Yorkshire landscape, the design uses natural materials and calming colours, while celebrating diversity with spaces like a wellness suite, a prayer room and accessible features for wheelchair users and neurodivergent employees. The outcome is a workplace that nurtures community, culture and wellbeing, while embracing YBS’s local roots and diverse workforce.
