American sports gambling company FanDuel wanted its Edinburgh office to boost productivity, aid collaboration, create community, support recruitment and embrace hybrid working – all while conveying a strong story about the sector in which it operates. The resulting design by Claremont Group Interiors is rich in choice, personality, attention to detail and originality across all four floors.
Using FanDuel’s sports business for inspiration, Claremont’s design plays on lots of sports references and detail including the layout, which is based on a dart board. At the centre of the floorplate, there is a hub of shared collaboration spaces, with more individual spaces radiating out. Stand-out features include a collaboration area within a sports commentators’ box, on-the-floor vinyls inspired by the stitching on a baseball to help wayfinding, as well as a whole floor dedicated to wellbeing and relaxation.
