Following Claremont’s transition from a limited company to an Employee Ownership Trust at the end of 2020, this employee-led workspace redesign of its Warrington design studio was a strategic next step in the company’s evolution and its commitment to creating positive employee experiences.
Functioning as a well-equipped showroom to demonstrate the possibilities for Claremont’s clients and a comfortable and collaborative home for its growing team, the space includes a wide variety of features, materials, products and activity-based and hybrid settings within a relatively small footprint and works as a cohesive design.
Close attention to detail was paid by the studio in pursuit of championing all its users – wellbeing rooms with floor markings line up with Mecca for prayer mat placement, focus pods with coloured light and brightness settings for the neurodiverse, and careful placement of alternative settings so employees are always close to quiet spaces.
