Cast Living were instructed by PATRIZIA to transform the amenity space of Corkfield, a new residential-led mixed use development in Edgbaston, Birmingham. With the aim of creating warm and liveable spaces for residents, Cast Living provided space planning, interior design, and carbon neutral furniture for the amenity spaces both on the ground floor and the Level 8 terrace. Cast Living furnished 225 of the 375 apartments for the scheme as well as dressed three show apartments.

The amenity spaces include a rentable kitchen and dining space for tenants, decorated with art and vintage chopping boards from a local market. The dressing and furniture selection process was also centred on sustainability, championing local, social value and heritage. Directly beside the Edgbaston cricket stadium with apartments overlooking the grounds, elements of design, and furnishing were selected to subtly incorporate features of the game. Corkfield has become a development that boasts generous amenities including coworking spaces, a meeting room, flexible studio space, a private dining room, mezzanine level, call booths and ‘Pooch Pods’ on the ground floor, creating a resident-centred holistic space.
