Sia carries the torch and softens the workplace by introducing an array of naturally inspired colour options, with a light carbon footprint to sit harmoniously in any environment. Sustainability is at the heart of Boss’ design process. With Sia, it has managed to drive the virgin plastic used in the structural elements of the chair down to just 30%. The remaining 70% is recycled plastic, 43% being post-consumer. As well as cutting the embedded carbon in the finished piece, Boss’ approach helps the planet by absorbing plastic waste.
Moving towards a circular manufacturing model, Sia uses fewer components than most task chairs and is assembled without adhesives. This makes replacing damaged parts more feasible, extends Sia’s longevity and makes it easier to separate and reuse or recycle components at the end of its lifecycle.
