Sustainability and wellbeing sat at the heart of this project. The design team incorporated biophilic design strategies, opening views to natural light & views to King’s Cross, adding light refraction, variation and democratisation of space. The spaces engage through layering texture, colour, comfort and connecting with nature to create high quality experiences and optimisation of wellbeing. Through careful selection the design team incorporated colour & texture by repurposing existing timber floor, using materials in unexpected ways such as Cempanel flooring and wall cladding. Widespread natural surfaces, copper, lino, recycled leather, woodwool, Valchromat and paper pulp, plus air purifying paint.
