Text provided by B3 Designers

Just opened, Brasserie des Pres by Nouvelle Garde sits in the heart of the vibrant Latin Quarter in Paris, and B3 Designers delivered the interior design for the group’s fourth and largest Parisian restaurant. The design and atmosphere is modern and sophisticated, yet inspired by the historic location which was home to the original and greatest French brasseries and a hub for artists, poets and literary greats. This brasserie’s details are therefore steeped in tradition yet executed in a modern, fresh and exciting way.

Provided with a beautiful canvas, as far as possible the original walls and ceilings were maintained and improved, but new flooring was required. All suppliers and furniture were curated with a ‘local first’ approach, while lighting and decorative pieces were hand selected from vintage fairs and markets. These eclectic furniture pieces and finishes are of a high standard, with custom design details throughout. The long, thin shape of the building posed a challenge, yet the designers ensured each zone within each of the three floors are separated by central stairwell, creating layers of different dining experiences so that guests can experience something new with each visit.
