Lenovo’s UK headquarters in Farnborough Business Park, designed and delivered by Area, offers state-of-the-art facilities and embodies Lenovo’s unwavering commitment to sustainability. Area, a certified B Corp, prioritised principles such as durability, reuse, remanufacturing, and recycling. These practices guarantee that products, components, and materials remain integral to the circular economy, reducing waste and environmental impact. In partnership with Waste to Wonder, this project also supported the impactful ‘School in a Box’ initiative by donating over £32,000 worth of surplus office furniture and equipment to the United Action for Children foundation, in Cameroon. This contribution has further resulted in diverting an impressive 35 tonnes of CO2 from waste streams, including savings of 24.3 tonnes of CO2 through the repurposing of materials from Lenovo’s Chineham office.

Located within the BREEAM Excellent 25 Templer Avenue building, Lenovo’s new workplace holds SKA Gold Certification, underlining their commitment to environmentally responsible fitout practices. Beyond functionality and innovation, our redesign also prioritised aesthetics and ambiance. Natural light, biophilic elements, and vibrant colours were thoughtfully integrated to create a welcoming and invigorating atmosphere. By infusing elements of comfort, inspiration, and connectivity, we aimed to evoke a sense of excitement and anticipation among employees about returning to the office.
