Area – Area, Windsor

Mixology23 Project of the Year: Workplace Interiors 5-15k sq ft

Project Team

  • 360 Workplace, Sketch Studio, Fusion Partitions, Kvadrat, Clayworks, Milliken Carpets, Bolon, Eye Like Gallery, Autex Acoustics, Amtico, Plant Plan, Brunner, Claremont, CMD, Davison Highley, Flokk, Frovi, William Hands, Humanscale, K&N, KI, Lintex, Muuto, OB&B, Ocee, OE, Orangebox, Task Sytems, Techo, Walter Knoll, Wieser Hager, Coat Paints, Foresso, Smile Plastics

Having previously separated teams over multiple floors across their Egham campus, Area were keen to design one open plan working floor with neighbourhoods to cater for a variety of workstyles. Area wanted their new Windsor studio to be completely reimagined as a workplace that fosters a connection between people, their physical surroundings and rich digital experiences.

Sustainability was a critical element to this project. Key objectives also included creating a technology-enabled ‘destination’ workplace that would attract people back to the office.

Area’s new Windsor HQ serves as a living showcase of their culture, values, and service offering, presenting the very best of what they can offer as creators of bespoke workplace environments. The interior design scheme complements the internal structure of the recently redeveloped Windsor Dials buildings, and explores the possibility of wellbeing, sustainability and volumes of space in a dynamic new layout.
