The new acoustic furniture concept by Abstracta and designer Maja Ganszyniec is highly ambitious in that it tackles two of the biggest challenges facing many of today’s workplaces. The first is creating better soundscapes that promote well-being and job satisfaction, and the second is to offer employees separate, pleasant smaller areas where they can focus on their work in comfort, either alone or in small groups. The highback acoustic seats are equipped with pocket springs and sound-absorbing infill for maximum comfort and noise reduction, and the design (inspired by Japanese interior architecture) promotes a sense of tranquility within busy, dynamic environments.
